MENTOR CONTRACT

Congratulations on being accepted into Connect for Education's mentor program! We are delighted to welcome esteemed and experienced instructors to our Applied Music Mentor Program. We trust that your participation in this program will be enjoyable and rewarding in every aspect. This letter outlines the terms of your business relationship with Connect for Education, Inc. (C4E) for our mutual benefit and protection.

  • As a mentor, you will hold the status of an independent contractor. You must not, at any time, represent yourself as or give the impression to third parties that you are an officer, employee, agent, or affiliate of Connect for Education, Inc. If a mentor becomes a C4E employee in the future, all terms of this agreement will become null and void from the first day of employment.
  • Your business card may reference C4E and your status as a C4E Mentor, as well as display C4E's logo, but only if you first obtain C4E's express written approval of the format and content of a printer's proof of your business card before printing in quantity. This limited use does not grant you any ownership or other rights to C4E's name or intellectual property. Except as provided in the preceding sentence, you shall not use C4E's name or intellectual property without C4E's express prior written consent.
  • In your capacity as a C4E Mentor, you will adhere to the C4E Code of Conduct and strive to conduct your C4E-related activities professionally, competently, and courteously, in order to establish and maintain a positive image and reputation for C4E and its products. To support this, C4E will hold an initial onboarding meeting for new mentors to address any questions you may have about policies, procedures, and the functionality of the Mentor portal.
  • Your status as a C4E mentor and independent contractor, along with any related rights, is personal to you, non-transferable, and subject to termination at any time at C4E's sole discretion. In the unlikely event of such termination, notice will be sent to your most recent email address in our records.
  • You agree to indemnify C4E against any claims and losses, including reasonable attorney's fees, that C4E may incur as a result of your failure to comply with the terms of this letter or any other written guidelines that C4E may establish for C4E mentors. In the event of any litigation or arbitration proceedings between you and C4E, the prevailing party will be entitled to recover its reasonable attorney's fees and other costs of the suit.
  • You are responsible for setting your own fees based on the C4E Mentor Policy and Payment Policy.
