My students have performed in places such as Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Opera, and many regional theaters. Though I specialize in classical voice, I am equally interested in music theatre and pop music. Recently, I earned my Doctorate of Musical Arts in Performance and Literature with a cognate in Musicology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

As a teacher, I believe it is my job to provide honest feedback while inviting the student to interrogate their own musical capabilities. Music is a skill that must be crafted over years of study and diligent work. It is my job to facilitate that learning and help students create their own path towards excellence.

Every student is unique. The style that I use is unique to each student and I am an avid advocate for attention to different learning styles and neurodiversity.
