My Introduction

About Me
I have appeared on stages in Canada, Italy, Austria, Finland, Estonia, Spain, Latvia, Singapore, Taiwan, and China; premiered several works by Asian and American composers. My Carnegie Hall debut recital in 2022 in Weill Hall was a great success. I adjudicated the Music International Grand Prix and the George Gershwin International Music Competition in NYC; taught and performed at the Alion Baltic International Music Festival in Tallinn, Estonia and the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Acqui Terme, Italy; released three solo albums which received airplay from some radio stations. My Spanish album, Sueños de España, received a gold medal in March of 2019 from Global Music Awards.
Me as a Teacher
I possess extensive teaching experience instructing students in the United States and overseas. Right after completing my D.M.A. in May of 2002, I found a full-time teaching position at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, and started teaching on a part-time basis at SEU in 2020. Teaching is my passion; gaining students' trust is essential. I provide an engaging, dynamic, and supportive studio environment where students with a wide range of abilities feel encouraged to expand their horizons to best reach their full potential. I am patient, diligent, and joyful working with my students . I want to be disciplined and display integrity to influence my students in a positive way.
My Teaching Style
My teaching style as a voice instructor is tailored to best meet the individual needs of each of my students. I am fully committed to advancing my students’ vocal knowledge and to help them grow into the finest artists and the best human beings they can become. My hope is to leave students with a significant and positive impression after they studied with me. I help students to understand the strengths and weaknesses of their own instruments. Once I find out my students' learning pace, I adjust my teaching style. I would challenge the students who want to be challenged, and would be extra encouraging to the students who lack confidence. Each student is unique and precious in my eyes.
