I am a teacher and performer. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical Theatre and am currently a graduate student in the Master of Music in Musical Theatre Pedagogy program at Carthage College, where I am the teaching assistant in History of Musical Theatre. I have worked as a performer, stage manager, assistant director and choreographer, assistant lighting designer and prop master. I was awarded the First Prize for Vocal VII Music Category at the 14th Zhongsin International Music Competition in 2020.

As a teacher, I believe that the most important thing for students is to feel comfortable and happy when they come to my class. This will enable students to better receive what I am teaching. Communication is key: when I establish good relationships with students, we will experience better progress and results.

I think all students are unique, so different teaching methods should be used for different students. Due to different learning styles, some methods are useful for one student but not necessarily for another student. I emphasize healthy vocal production: healthy singing should not cause vocal discomfort. What I want students to learn from my teaching is healthy vocal production and freedom of expression in music.
