I have 30 years of experience in piano teaching. I like to teach piano students of different levels. In my teaching career, I have met countless young piano children with musical talents. I was a faculty member for over twenty years in the music department at Victor Valley College, and have instructed all four levels of the college’s piano program. Dr. Gilman has been the primary pianist with the Sacramento Jazz Orchestra since 2010, and was the primary pianist with jazz vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson from 2006-2016. Her performances include solo vocal recitals in the U.S and France, both early music and contemporary ensembles (vocal soloist, vielle, and treble viola da gamba), and choral works under Antal Doráti, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, and Lorin Maazel. In 1981, Robert Ward selected her to premiere scenes of his opera, Abelard and Heloise, singing the title role.
